What is AP?

The AP test is conducted by the college board that empowers the students to take the undergraduate courses after completing the high-school.

The college board creates a connection between a student and college success.

AP Exams are fast approaching this May and did you plan how to prepare and register by yourselves? Most of these exams will be occurred in the month of May and in order to register, your college should have the college board conduct these AP exams.


How To Register for AP Exam?

Step 1: If you are planning to take the AP exam, register independently either by approaching the college board or email them at apstudents@info.collegeboard.org to contact with an AP counselor.

Step 2: Sign up or Check whether you are having any user account that is already registered-in My AP. If your school asks you to register, click on the register button in the class section category after you join your class section. If you click on this button, your counselor will know you are about to take the AP exams, and they will apply for you. If you don’t see the button, it means the college board only will take care to apply for AP exams

Step 3: Exam Fees

Contact your college AP counselor regarding the exam fees and if you can’t pay the fees online, you can give to your coordinator. He will collect the test fees and apply them on behalf of you only.

Step 4: Check your registration details

Once you have selected to register, the date and time of your exam will appear in your class section view in My AP.


Qualification for AP Exam

  1. You should be under the age of 21 while writing the examination.

  2. You should have a valid passport and mandatory to take all the required originals while attending the test.

  3. You can attend the exam with no limit per year.

  4. AP exams are flexible to write and generally, students take in Class-XI or XII or both, but few take them earlier, in Class IX or X.


Exam Pattern

The time of the AP test may vary depending on the subject from 90-200 minutes. The exam provides multiple-choice questions and a free-response section and you can write either with a pen or pencil format.
