The application process at Arizona State University (ASU), Tempe, Arizona, is a simple online process.

For first-year students

The application process for first-year students comprises of six simple steps:

  • Complete the undergraduate admission application by filling ASU’s Application for Admission, Common Application or the Coalition Application.

  • Submit the non-refundable application fee. This is to be paid if you are filling ASU’s Application for Admission by logging on to ‘My ASU’ or mail a check or money order to Admission Services (payable to Arizona State University).

In case you are applying by filling Common Application or the Coalition Application, you need to pay the fees through their applications.

  • Send your official transcripts by yourself or get it sent from the issuing institution to the following address in case you have not self-reported your grades in the ASU application.

  • Send your ACT or SAT scores directly to ASU when you register for the test.

  • After completing the above steps, check your application status by signing in at My ASU using your ASURITE User ID.

  • The last step includes filling out the FAFSA form of the university. This form is used to award federal grants, loans, work-study, and certain scholarships. ASU’s Federal School Code is 001081.

For Transfer Students

The application process for transferring college is a four-step process comprising of the following steps:

  • Complete an undergraduate application process by filling ASU’s Application for Admission, Common Application or the Coalition Application.

  • Activate My ASU and your ASURITE UserID.

  • Submit the non-refundable application fee. This is to be paid if you are filling ASU’s Application for Admission by logging on to ‘My ASU’ or mail a check or money order to Admission Services (payable to Arizona State University).

Graduate Admission Process

The application procedure for Graduate and Professional admission includes the following steps:
