Friends University has kept the requirement bar for the admission application evaluation process through which the university accepts or rejects the application of a candidate. The minimum requirements for admission at Friends University depending upon the course it may differ.

Undergraduate Admission Requirements 

For freshmen taking admission for an undergraduate course at Friends University the admission requirements for the same is as follows:

  • Complete and submit the online admission application form

  • Complete and sign the transcript request form for all institutions previously attended. 

  • Request that your official ACT or SAT scores if entering as a freshman and under the age of 23.If you are an incoming freshman, an ACT composite score of 18 or higher and a minimum high school cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher is required for full admission. An adjusted scale is used for students submitting SAT scores.

  • ACT composite score of 18 or higher and a minimum high school cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher is required for full admission. An adjusted scale is used for students submitting SAT scores.

  • Applicants meeting the admissions criteria will be fully admitted to the university.

  • Applicants who do not meet the minimum criteria are not fully admitted to the university. These applicants have the option to appeal to the Admissions Appeals Committee for conditional admittance.

  • Applicants with an ACT composite score lower than 15 or a cumulative high school GPA lower than 1.5 will be denied admission without right of appeal.


Graduate Admission Requirements

The graduate programs at Friends University are unique and have individually different requirements. However a general admission requirements for all the graduate programs are:

  • Complete and submit the online addmission application for graduate program.

  • Submit the $50 application fee to the Office of Admissions.

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

  • Submit an official transcript from the institution granting the bachelor’s degree. Official transcripts are only valid if sent directly from the college to Friends University. Transcripts sent to you are considered unofficial. Please ask your program representative for help with this process.

  • Participate in a program director interview and receive approval to be accepted into the program.

  • Have maintained a grade point average of 2.75 or better as specified by the program.

  • Submit a letter(s) of recommendation (the number required dependent upon specific program).

  • Have accumulated no more than nine hours of background deficiencies in the major field of graduate study.


International Admission Requirements

  • Complete the online application form or you can even download the pdf of the application form.

  • Submit the official transcripts of high school attended. Student who have not completed their high school from U.S school need to evaluate the transctipts from the member of NACES.

  • If your first language is not English you need to submit one of the following documents as a proof of English Proficiency like TOEFL/IELTS/PTE.

    TOEFL Minimum score of 63 (Internet-based)

    iELTS with a score of 5.5 for proof of English proficiency.

    PTE Academic: Pearson English Language Test, with a score of 45.

    All test scores should be sent directly from the testing agency to Friends University.

  • ACT/SAT score can also be used in replacement of the TOEFL.

  • All international students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher on a 4.0 point scale to be admitted.

  • Submit the official financial documents from your bank or sponsor stating that you have required funds one year of study at Friends University.

  • Apply for Visa after receiving the arrivial letter from the university.
