Grambling State University is a historically black public university and was founded in 1901. The university provides a number of programs and gives immense opportunity to students to make their careers in the field of their choice. The university has four colleges through which they offer undergraduate and postgraduate degrees College of Art & Sciences, College of Business, College of Educational and Graduate Studies, and College of Professional Studies. The university follows a semester-based academic calendar with an acceptance rate of 96% which makes it less selective.

Grambling State University (GSU) offers a doctoral degree in Developmental Education and is accredited by 18 separate accrediting associations. The campus is one of the big and beautiful campuses with housing facilities for the students, staff, professors, and researchers. Grambling Tigers the intercollege team name, as the institute offers a number of sports activities like baseball, basketball, hockey, etc and the team has won the number of championships as well.
