To apply for a UA program, you must create an online account on their website. They’ll prompt you to fill out various personal information, such as your name, birth date, desired program for admission, and more. Interested candidates can also call the university at (205) 348-6010 or apply in person at 739 University Blvd, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35487-0100. Make sure to have ACT and SAT scores, letters of recommendation, high school transcripts, personal essays, and other important documents available to you when completing an online application. Finally, the UA charges a $40 application fee.
The University of Alabama will review your application after you submit it. They might ask for additional documents.
Once you receive an acceptance letter, confirm their attendance as soon as possible. You’ll then need to complete their Financial Check-In process and select your housing option as well. Finally, you can select a payment plan and make your first tuition payment.
Registering for classes is your final step. Before you register, however, you’ll need to complete Math and English assessments.

About half of UA applicants have an SAT score between 1080 - 1340. Traditionally, the UA required students to submit their SAT scores by April 1.
For the 2022 Fall semester, however, the UA will not require students to submit SAT scores with their admissions applications. Instead, the university will assess applications through a holistic review, accounting for factors such as high school GPA, academic honors, leadership experience, volunteer experience, employment, and extracurricular activities. Students can still submit SAT scores if they wish, but the university does not require it.

Most applicants to the UA have ACT scores between 23 and 31. However, the UA will not require students to send their ACT scores with Fall 2022 applications. Similar to the above-mentioned optional nature of the SAT, the ACT isn’t a priority for admissions consideration at UA.
