About the Scholarship

Alvin A. and Hattie Mae Bush Accounting Scholarship

This Alvin A.and Hattie Mae Bush accounting scholarship was established by Alvin A. and Hattie Mae Bush in 1978 on the memory of them. They both were living in Amarillo and were accountant by profession. They both decided to help some good students who are in this profession as well as a resident of that country.


Requirements for this scholarship:

  • Must be a student of Amarillo College, West Texas A&M University or Texas Tech University and major in Accounting.

  • Must have good academic score as a 2.5 GPA or more in college.

  • Must attain a semester after selecting for this scholarship.

  • Must be a full-time student as 12hours credit hours study based.


Eligibility

Must be a student of accounting as a major.

Should study in Amarillo College, West Texas A&M University or Texas Tech University.

Must be a citizen of 26 Northern countries of Texas and panhandle.

The amount awarded for this scholarship:

The amount awarded for this scholarship is $1000 per each year and one student can get this award per year. This scholarship is non-renewable. Students are selected for this scholarship is by the Amarillo Area Foundation Scholarship Screening Service(AAF).

Deadline for this scholarship:

The deadline for this scholarship is February 8.


 


Eligibility Criteria

  • An applicant must maintain at least 12 credit hours for undergraduate studies.
  • A student must maintain a grade point average of 2.5 out of 4 to be eligible for the scholarship.
  • A student must be attending Amarillo College, West Texas A&M University, or Texas Tech University with the major in Accounting.
