About the Scholarship

Astronaut Scholarship Foundation (ASF) Scholarship is sponsored by Astronaut Scholarship Foundation. The Astronaut Scholarship Foundation was made to guarantee that the United States would keep up its authority in science and innovation by supporting a portion of the absolute best science, innovation, building, and math undergrads.


How to apply for this scholarship?

  • The students applying for this grant must have been completed their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application to receive this award.

  • Applicants must be seeking a STEM degree with intentions to pursue research or advance their field upon completion of their final degrees.

  • Students nominated for the scholarship will need to assist the nominating faculty member with the following:
      Ensure eligibility requirements are met,
      Provide two letters of recommendation,
      Provide a personal statement,
      Provide a copy of academic transcripts,
      Provide a copy of birth certificate, naturalization form, or U.S. passport to authenticate and confirm,
      Provide a C.V. or resume.

 

Astronaut Scholarship Foundation (ASF) Scholarship award amounts to

  • This scholarship provides $10000 annually which is nonrenewable.

  • The total number of awards offered by this scholarship varies annually depending on the student's availability and available funds.

 

Deadline information

The applications are to be submitted by the end of March 25, 2020. the applications are available online on the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation website.


Eligibility Criteria

  • An applicant must be a citizen of the United States, either native-born or naturalized.

  • An applicant must be at least a sophomore applying for their junior, or a junior applying to receive a scholarship for their senior year.

  • A student must be enrolled in one of the participating universities.

  • students must be enrolled for both semesters as a full-time student for the ASF-supported academic year. 

  • Students intending to pursue a practice in professional medicine are not eligible for the scholarship but those intending to perform biomedical research are eligible.
