This award is available for U.S. college juniors, seniors, or graduate students who are majoring in engineering or physical science (physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science, etc.) at an eligible institution. Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must major in engineering or physical science (physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science, etc.) with the intention to pursue research or advance his/her field upon completion of a final degree. An applicant intending on pursuing a practice in professional medicine is not considered. An applicant intending to do biomedical research is considered. Must be at least a second-year (sophomore) college student at time of application. This award is awarded during the junior or senior year of college.
