About the Scholarship

The institution offering this unique opportunity is "Catch the Dream". Since 1986 Catch the Deam is striving to raise the living standards and the quality of life of Indian people. This scholarship is for those students who demonstrate exceptional academic excellence, clarity on goals, leadership qualities and dedication to succeed in life. The institution also assists Indian schools involved in preparing their students to achieve success in career.


Guidelines to apply :

  • Application forms will be found online on the CTD website.

  • A document detailing the financial need analysis must be submitted by his/her financial aid officer.

  • Candidates must present his/her parent's 1040 Federal tax form for the previous year.

  • The  Certificate of Indian blood must be submitted.

  • Application copies and documents related to all other funding sources for which he/she is qualified including campus-based aid.

  • An essay describing the applicant's career goals and plans.

  • 3 letters of recommendation.

  • Official transcripts of all previous schools, and it is to be noted that graduate applicants are not required to submit their high school transcript.

  •  A copy of all the standardized test scores; in a DD214 form,

  •  All the documents must be presented in an 8.5" x 11" paper.

Award amount:

Awards are normally based on CTD's projected value of income.

 Previous awards have been from $500 to $5,000 per year of undergraduate study or graduate study.


Deadline:

The deadline is on March 15, all the documents must be submitted before the deadline.

 

 

 

 

 


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a high school senior or older.

  • Should be enrolled or must be planning to enroll on a full-time basis at an accredited college/university seeking a B.A. degree or higher.

  • US citizenship is mandatory.

  • Should be at least a one-fourth degree American Indian and an enrolled member of a federally-recognized, state-recognized, or terminated tribe.

  • He should be planning to major in one of the following fields: math, engineering, science (includes all medical fields), business, education, computers, finance, management, economics, banking, and hotel management.
