About the Scholarship

The scholarship is awarded by the Cedar Crest College, which has a curriculum designed to support women to succeed at the highest levels. The college is committed to the training of the upcoming generation of women and preparing them for life in the global community.

The Transfer Student Scholarship for Freshmen is awarded for freshmen full-time transfer students based on their grade point average score. The Presidential, Trustee, and Founders Scholarships are automatically renewed every year, provided that the student maintains a 2.5 or above grade point average out of 4.

How to apply for the scholarship?

  • The applicant must complete the application which can be found on the Cedar Crest College site. 

  • Along with the application, the applicant must also submit a personal essay of 250-500 words on a topic of their choice, official academic transcripts, ACT/SAT scores, and two teacher evaluations.

  • There is no fixed deadline to apply for this award but for priority consideration, but the applicant should consider submitting their application by January 3 for the spring semester and by June 15 for the fall semester. 

How much the scholarship award amounts to?

The award amounts to $10,000 to $16,000 per year and is renewable for up to three years. The total number of awards provides varies and depends on the availability of funds.

Eligibility Criteria

  • An applicant must be a citizen of the US. A student must be enrolled in any full-time program and be a female to receive this award.

  • A student must be attending a college or university in Pennsylvania.

  • Must plan to transfer to Cedar Crest College in Pennsylvania

  • Must have scored a combined SAT score of 1150 or higher to be eligible to receive the scholarship.
