About the Scholarship

This award is available for female students in Northern California who are of Chicana/Latina heritage. Applicant must have completed 12 or more credit hours as an undergraduate or be accepted or enrolled in a graduate program, and must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher (3.0 or higher if a graduate student) at the time of application. Application requirements for the Chicana/Latina Foundation Scholarship are:Application form Essays (2) Official Transcript Recommendation letters (2) Resume/CV (if grad. student) Interview (semi-finalists only)

Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must be a female. Must be a Chicana-Latina student. Must be a full-time student as defined by her institution if an undergraduate student. Please note: If the student's institution considers her to be full time, but she is not enrolled in 12 or more units, she must explain the reason she is considered full time in the comments section of the scholarship application. Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher if an undergraduate student and 3.0 or higher if a graduate student. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must have completed a minimum of 12 college credits after high school graduation OR been accepted into graduate/professional school or be a currently enrolled graduate/professional student completing courses/thesis/dissertation. Must have been a resident for a minimum of two years of and be enrolled in an accredited college/university/community college in one of the following Northern California counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Monterey, Napa, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sonoma, or Yolo.In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:Sign Up To View
