About the Scholarship
Concordia College sponsors Concordia College Theatre Performance and Production Scholarship. Founded in 1891 by Norwegian settlers who valued education and their religious heritage, Concordia opened its doors with 12 students and three instructors. The presidential award is the most prestigious. The purpose of Concordia College is to influence the affairs of the world by sending into society thoughtful and informed men and women dedicated to the Christian life. This scholarship recognizes excellence in the following areas of theatre: lighting, scenery, costumes, sound, stage management, and performance
Basic requirements needed for this scholarship
The students applying for this grant must complete free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application.
The essay must be submitted by the given topic on “How do the talents and skills of theatre prepare you for a meaningful life and contribute positively to the world?”
Concordia College Theatre Performance and Production Scholarship amounts to
Concordia awards $6000 for this scholarship which is renewable for up to 3 years.
The number of awards varies annually based on the student's eligibility.
The application deadlines by the end of January 08, 2020. The students are informed to submit before the due date to meet the eligibility.

- To be eligible for a Theatre Scholarship, you must be an incoming first-year or transfer student who has been accepted for admission to Concordia College
- Have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA (non-weighted), and have exhibited proficiency in theatre performance or production.
