About the Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded to the student who are exceptionally good at their academics and sports activities. Scholarship can be provided to any recipient like a parent, coaches, teammates, teacher, or an administrator.
This scholar Athlete Program is provided from January 2019 to May 2019, where two high school seniors from Washington State are selected as Davis Scholar-Athlete of the month and are given $100 to achieve their academic and athletic goals. The award winners in addition to getting a scholarship, they also win a glass trophy for the sport they are involved in.
How to Apply for the scholarship?
In order to receive the scholarship fund, a student needs to fill the FAFSA application form to demonstrate their financial assistance and assess the financial position of the family to pay for the tuition.
An applicant must submit their official transcripts of ACT/SAT scorecards to show that they meet the eligibility criteria. This needs to be submitted before the deadline fixed.
In addition to academic records, an applicant also needs to demonstrate their athletic performance.
What is the Total Amount Awarded?
The scholarship selects 10 in total students for a monthly award and in addition to this scholarship, the recipients also have a chance to win an additional scholarship award. Award winners need to enter the Sportsmanship Essay Contest for which the winner gets to win the additional amount of $1000.
The applicants need to submit all the required documents before May 2019 and the award amount is non-renewable.
An applicant must be a U.S citizen or permanent resident attending any high school in the Washington state.
A student should participate in any sports organized by the school.
A recipient should have a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 out of 4.0 scale to be eligible for the scholarship.
