About the Scholarship

The Delta Kappa Gamma International Beta Chapter Scholarship Fund is awarded to the female students who complete their graduation at Berks County public school and pursue their senior year at Albright College, Alvernia University, Kutztown University or Penn State Berks as elementary or secondary education majors. The Community Foundation is awarding this scholarship to female students who meet the eligibility. Berks County Community Foundation employees, board members or committee members are not eligible to apply for this scholarship also the immediate family members of Berks County Community Foundation are also ineligible. Award amount can be used to cover tuition fees and books in the senior year of study.


How to Apply for Scholarship?

  • In order to apply for a scholarship, an applicant must create an account and sign up to access the scholarship application.

  • An applicant must provide the most recent official college transcript.

  • In addition to that, an applicant must write an essay which should contain details about motivation behind to become a teacher.

  • An applicant must provide two letters of recommendation from college as well as a high school from the teacher or professor.


Award Amount and Deadline:

the scholarship is providing $1000 annually to one student, and the award is non-renewable.

All the applicants need to apply for this scholarship between January 15th to March 15th, 2020.

 

 


Eligibility Criteria

  • Berks County Community Foundation employees, board members and/or committee members are not eligible.

  • A student should be female Berks County public school graduates who will enter their senior year at Albright College, Alvernia University, Kutztown University or Penn State Berks as elementary or secondary education majors.
