About the Scholarship

Most Valuable Student Scholarship Competition is authorized by the Elks National Foundation. The foundation was started in the year 1868  under the name "Jolly Corks" by 15 actors, entertainers and others associated with the theater.

Elks National Foundation provides scholarships to highest-rated applicants in the competition 

What are the requirements needed while applying for this scholarship?

  • Applicants are required to submit an essay of 500 words as described in the application form.

  • Students must provide their parental financial statements and current official transcripts.

  •  Applicants must demonstrate their financial need and achievement in scholarship, leadership, athletics, dramatics, community service or other activities.

  • Students must provide their ACT/SAT score-cards while applying for this scholarship.

  • The candidates are instructed to exhibit their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application to get this honor.

Most Valuable Student Scholarship Competition award amounts to

  • This scholarship award varies from $1000 per year to $12500 per year.

  • The total number of awards offered by this scholarship is up to 500 candidates, 20 finalists will be vying for two first-place awards of $50,000; two second-place awards of $40,000; and two third-place awards of $30,000. The remaining 14 finalists will receive awards of $20,000. The 480 runners-up will receive fifth-place scholarships of $4,000.


Deadline info

The applications are to be exhibited before the finish of November 05, 2020. Understudies are educated to display their award application, and different necessities are to be submitted before the due date. Applications and other data are open online on the Elks National Foundation website.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a high school senior at the time of application.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

  • Must plan to enroll as a full-time student.

  • This award is for U.S. students.
