About the Scholarship

The scholarship is awarded by the Community Foundation of North Central Washington, a tax-exempt organization that helps individuals, families, businesses, and agencies support charitable causes throughout  Chelan, Douglas, and Okanogan counties. Through their Community Grants Program, nonprofit organizations can apply for financial support to continue to do the work that enhances our communities. The grant was established in 1991 and is awarded to students who demonstrate academic achievements, scholastic ability, recommendations, and financial need. Award recipients will be contacted in early May.


How to apply for the scholarship?

  • Interested applicants must first create an account on the Community Foundation of NCW online site and complete the eligibility quiz. Only then applicants will be able to access the individual applications for any eligible scholarships.

  • Along with the application, the applicants should submit their academic transcripts, EFC (expected family contribution) from their SAR (Student Aid Report), two reference contacts information, and FAFSA.


How much the scholarship award amounts to?

The award amounts to $1,000 yearly and is non-renewable.

One scholarship will be awarded per year.


Deadline Information

The deadline date is set for March 1


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a graduating senior of Wenatchee High School or Westside High School

  • Have plans to further his/her education at an accredited two or four-year college in the US
