About the Scholarship

This award is available for students at a participating public or private, non-profit colleges and universities in Texas, including junior/community colleges, who have completed at least 120 credit hours in an accounting program but have not yet taken the Certified Public Accountant exam. Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must be enrolled at a participating public or private, non-profit college or university in Texas. Must be enrolled on a half time or higher basis. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must have not already taken the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam, but plan to take the CPA examination in the State of Texas and have submitted an Application of Intent to take the CPA Examination to the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy for the purpose of being granted a certificate of "Certified Public Accountant". Must have completed at least 120 hours of college coursework (including at least 15 semester credit hours of accounting) at the beginning of the term in which the award is being made.
