This award is available for Florida undergraduate students who are attending an eligible college or university in Florida. Students must be the dependent child or spouse or un-remarried widow(er) of a Florida veteran or service member who died as a result of service-connected injuries, diseases, or disabilities sustained while on active duty OR has been verified by the Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs as having service-connected 100 percent total and permanent disabilities OR is classified as a POW or MIA. This award is for U.S. students. Must enroll in six or more credit hours (or 180 or more clock hours, or the equivalent) per term. Must be a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen. Must be a resident of Florida. Must be the eligible relative of a veteran who died as a result of service connected disability sustained while on active duty OR is certified by the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs as having service-connected 100 percent permanent and total disabilities OR is classified as a prisoner of war or missing in action by the Armed Forces of the United States.
