About the Scholarship

This award is available to Florida high school seniors who plan to attend a college or university in Florida. Students must have a weighted grade point average of 3.0 or higher, and have a SAT score of 1170 or higher or an ACT score of 26 or higher (or meet other academic requirements). Students must have also completed at least 75 hours of community service. Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must be a graduating high school senior at time of application. Must be a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen. Must be accepted by, enroll in a degree or certificate program, and be funded at an eligible Florida public or independent postsecondary institution within two years from the his/her year of high school graduation (exceptions available for active military students and students who pursue a religious or volunteer commitment of at least 18 months). Must have a weighted grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Must meet ONE of the following academic criteria: have an SAT score of 1170 or higher; have an ACT score of 26 or higher; be a National Merit or National Achievement Finalist or Scholar; be a National Hispanic Scholar; receive an Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) diploma; receive an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma. Must be a resident of Florida. Must earn a standard Florida high school diploma or its equivalent from a Florida public high school or a registered Florida Department of Education private high school. Must complete 75 or more service hours during high school and by high school graduation.
