About the Scholarship

William L. Boyd, IV, Florida Resident Access Grant (FRAG) is sponsored by The Florida Department of Education, Office of Student Financial Assistance to provides tuition assistance to Florida undergraduate students attending an eligible private, non-profit Florida college or university.

 The Florida Department of Education, Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA) is a designated guaranty agency for the state of Florida. As the guaranty agency, OSFA has guaranteed Federal Family Education Loans for more than 30 years.


A list of the eligible institutions is available online at Florida student financial aids official website. The award may be used for any undergraduate study, full-time study and four-year study.


 Scholarship Amount

The awarded amount of this scholarship is $3,000 per year and is renewable.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must not have previously received a bachelor's degree and may not use an award for the study of divinity or theology.

  • Amount of award plus all other scholarships and grants may not exceed the total amount of tuition.

  • Contact the financial aid office of eligible institutions for application and more information.

  • The undergraduate study must be in a degree program.

  • Must be a resident of Florida.

  • Must be a U.S citizen or an eligible non-citizen.

  • Renewal applicants must have earned a minimum institutional GPA of 2.0.

  •  Applicant must not owe a repayment or be in default under any state or federal grant, loan, or scholarship program unless satisfactory arrangements to repay have been made. 

  • Applicant have to submit FAFSA.
