About the Scholarship

The Higher Education Scholarship is given by The Folds of Honor Foundation to provide post-secondary scholarship assistance for spouses and dependents of the nation's service members. By standing in the financial gap of the more than one million dependents adversely affected by war, Folds of Honor is honoring their sacrifice by educating their legacy.


How to Apply

Students can apply for this scholarship through the online application portal available on the Folds of Honor website. Apart from application students have to upload documents proving the status of the military member under whose service he/she is applying. The student must upload a document providing his/her dependent/spouse status and proof of school enrollment.


Scholarship Amount

The scholarship amount is up to $5,000 per academic year and is non-renewable; however, the eligible applicant can reapply every year in which they are eligible.


Deadline Information

The application will be accepted from February 1, 2019 to April 1, 2019.

Eligibility Criteria

  • enrolled or planning to enroll in an undergraduate program of study leading to a bachelor’s degree at an accredited

    community college, college or university or;

  • enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited technical or trade school program, which results in a certificate or

    diploma (cannot currently hold a bachelor’s degree)

  • Must be 24 years of age or younger if a dependent.

  • Must be the spouse or dependent (child or step-child) of an eligible military member.

  • Must be unmarried if a dependent.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
