About the Scholarship

This scholarship is available to U.S. students who have been accepted for enrollment in an accredited postsecondary educational program. Students must be the spouse or dependent of a military member who has been killed or disabled, is classified as a POW or MIA, or received a Purple Heart. Application requirements for the Folds of Honor Higher Education Scholarship are:Application form Proof of eligibility (military member & applicant)

Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must be accepted to an accredited postsecondary education program: university, college, technical school, or certification program. Must be the spouse or dependent (child or step-child) of an eligible military member. Must base eligibility on one of the following: any service member who has been killed or disabled with a service-connected disability from the VA (the disability rating must be at least 10 percent); a veteran who died from any cause while such service-connected disability was in existence; any service member who is currently classified as a POW or MIA; a service member missing in action or captured in line of duty by a hostile force; a service member forcibly detained or interned in line of duty by a foreign government or power; a service member who has received a Purple Heart Medal (may be active duty).
