About the Scholarship
The Scholarship is awarded to the citizens of North Carolina who are in great need of finance for the academic study. A student must study at North Carolina community college to receive this scholarship opportunity. An applicant must achieve good academic progress to receive this opportunity.
How to Apply for Scholarship?
An applicant must complete the FAFSA application form to express their financial assistance in the view of academic study.
If a student is not selected for Federal Pell Grant, he/she is eligible to apply for this grant. Based on the EFC and Student Aid Report the financial aid will assist the student.
A student must produce SAR and EFC documents.
The students who are studying a four-year degree college are not eligible to apply for this grant.
Award Amount and Deadline:
Based on the information provided in the FAFSA, the financial aid award the grant to any number of applicants. Usually, the amount varies from $150 to $1500.
Students can contact the financial aid office of their college to get to know about the scholarship deadline.
Students must be legal residents of the state of North Carolina.
Students must be enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours at a community college.
Demonstrate financial need to pay for school.
Students not eligible for the Federal Pell Grant may be considered for this grant based on their estimated family contribution as determined on the Student Aid Report (SAR).
Students who have earned baccalaureate (four years) college degrees are ineligible.
A student must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
