Why Scholarships Matter?

College education in the US is not cheap. It requires an enormous investment. From the late 1980s to 2018, the cost of an undergraduate degree has touched the sky—rising 213% at public schools and 129% at private schools, adjusting for inflation. If we look at the statistics during the 2019-2020 school year,  the average cost of tuition and fees at private colleges was $41,426. At public colleges, the average expense was $27,120 for out-of-state students and $11,260 for in-state students.

Other statistics say, according to CBS, more than 43 million American students have debt, with an average household income of $48,000. Well, the figures are quite surprising though, this is what the truth is. The more shocking fact is, out of these 43 million, 5.2 million are defaulters and that is 12.1%. Nobody wants to bear the burden of debt though, many end up with a debt. The best solution to avoid these debts is to prepare oneself for a scholarship and own a college degree without the tension of debts.
