About the Scholarship

Horatio Alger Mel Klein Scholarship is sponsored by Horatio Alger Association. Since its existence in 1984, Horatio Alger Association has been awarded more than 20000 students approximately. Through its many scholarship programs, the Association helps students in pursuing career and technical certificates and degrees, bachelor’s degrees, and graduate studies. The scholarships are are only for International students who are willing to study in United states.


Basic requirements needed for this scholarship

  • The students must have completed their National Postsecondary Student Aid Study (NPSAS).

  •  Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application must be filed for meeting the eligibility for this scholarship.

  •  Applicants for this award will automatically be considered for any additionally applicable state or national awards.

 

Horatio Alger Mel Klein Scholarship award amounts to

  • The scholarship provides a total of $2000 annually which is renewable for 5 years based on the students who maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0

  • The scholarship offers 5 awards annually

Deadline and information

The deadline for submitting the scholarship application is by the end of March 15, 2020.

All the Applicant must submit their application form via online website from Horatio Alger Association, paper applications are not taken into consideration.


Eligibility Criteria

  • High school senior

  • Academic achievement (minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.5)

  • Planning to pursue a degree at Colgate University, Columbia University, Stanford University, or Tulane University

  • Applying for this scholarship will also make you eligible for national/state scholarship awards
