About the Scholarship

This scholarship is available for Illinois resident undergraduate and graduate students who have served at least one year of federal active duty service in the Armed Forces of the United States and have received an honorable discharge for each period of federal active duty service. Application requirements for the Illinois Veteran Grant (IVG) Program are:Application form DD214 Member 4

Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must meet Illinois residency requirements. Details are available online on the ISAC website. Must have served at least one year of federal active duty service in the Armed Forces of the United States; OR regardless of length of service, have served in a foreign country in a time of hostilities in that country; OR have been medically discharged for service related reasons; OR have been discharged prior to Aug. 11, 1967. The student must have received an honorable discharge for each period of federal active duty service. Must be enrolled at an Illinois public two- or four-year college. Must be a U.S. citizen.
