About the Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded by the National Council of Jewish Women - Los Angeles Section (NCJW/LA), founded by women who were committed to bringing about social and political change to improve the quality for women, children, and families. They've always been a powerful catalyst for social change. This scholarship is awarded to a woman or man who is enrolled or accepted to a degree program in nursing. Applicants are also eligible for the Inger Lawrence Bauer award.
How to apply for the scholarship?
The applicant should complete the application which can be found on the National Council of Jewish Women site. Each application can be used to apply for up to two awards.
In addition to this, an applicant must also fill their FAFSA application form that is used to determine the financial position of a student and their family.
Along with the application, the applicant should submit an essay, a personal statement, two recommendation letters, and official academic transcripts to prove their academic excellence.
Award Amount and Deadline
- The award amounts to $2,000 for two students per year and is non-renewable.
All the required documents must be submitted online no later than November 01, 2019 to be eligible for the scholarship. A student can visit the official website for any further details about the scholarship and application form.
The applicant must be an undergraduate student or graduate student.
Applicant must attend a university, a four-year college or two-year college.
The applicant must be a US citizen who is in their full-time or a part-time course.
The applicant must not be attending high school currently.
