About the Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded by the Community Foundation of North Central Washington, a tax-exempt organization that helps individuals, families, businesses, and agencies support charitable causes throughout Chelan, Douglas, and Okanogan counties. Through their Community Grants Program, nonprofit organizations can apply for financial support to continue to do the work that enhances our communities. The selection for this grant will be done on factors including academic achievement, passion for nursing, and financial need.
How to apply for the scholarship?
Interested applicants must first create an account on the Community Foundation of NCW online site and complete the eligibility quiz. Only then applicants will be able to access the individual applications for any eligible scholarships.
Along with the application, the applicants should submit their academic transcripts, EFC (expected family contribution) from their SAR (Student Aid Report), two reference contacts information, and FAFSA.
How much the scholarship award amounts to?
The award amounts to $1,000 yearly and is not automatically renewabl2
Graduated from a high school in Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan or Grant County
Has completed the first 2 years of college toward a BS degree in nursing with a minimum 3.5 GPA OR enrolled in an RN to BSN bridge program at an accredited college or university in the United States
Priority is given to students interested in pediatric nursing and those with experience with an ill child and their family
