About the Scholarship
The KHEAA Teacher Scholarship is awarded to the students of Kentucky who are pursuing their teaching education. The scholarship is helping the Kentucky residents financially to overcome their financial burden in the view of pursuing academic study in teaching. In order to receive this opportunity, an applicant must have great financial need. Also, an applicant must stand exceptional and perform well in academics.
How to Apply for Scholarship?
An applicant must fill and submit the FAFSA application form. Which clearly defines the financial assistance of a student.
In order to apply for this scholarship, an applicant must complete the teacher education program.
In addition to that he/she provide one semester of qualified teaching service at an accredited school certified by the Kentucky Board of Education for every semester of scholarship receipt.
Award Amount and Deadline:
Qualified applicants will get $5000 annually. And it is renewable.
All applicants must submit their official documents and transcripts before 1st May 2019.
A student must be a U.S citizen.
A student must be a Kentucky resident.
A student must be admitted to a teacher education program pursuing initial teacher certification at a participating Kentucky college or
A student must be a certified teacher (primary through grade 12) pursuing additional credentialing for classroom teaching.
A student must teach one semester at a Kentucky public or certified non-public school for each semester.
