About the Scholarship

This scholarship is provided annually to low-income high school seniors who are members of the Boy Scouts of America, Great Smoky Mountain Council. Applicants must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher and plan to enroll in an accredited undergraduate program. Eligibility Criteria

Must reside in one of the following counties of east Tennessee: Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Claiborne, Cocke, Cumberland, Fentress, Grainger, Hamblen, Jefferson, Knox (TN), Loudon, McMinn, Meigs, Monroe, Morgan, Pickett, Roane, Scott, Sevier, or Union County. This award is for U.S. students. Must be a high school senior at the time of application. Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher. Must be an active member of a local Boy Scouts troop. Must plan to enroll full-time at an accredited college or university in the fall semester following application.
