About the Scholarship

The non-profit organization, Life Happens, provide financial assistance to students who have lost their parents or guardians in the form of scholarship programs.

The students are awarded the Life Lessons Scholarship Program in order to encourage and support such students to pursue higher education at an accredited university or college in the United States.

The scholarship program is open to students residing in any part of the country. The members or those who are related to the members of the foundation are not eligible to apply for the program.

Life Lessons Scholarship Program Awards

  • The scholarship program awards an amount of around $200,000 every year to eligible recipients.

  • The scholarship amount and the number of awards vary every year depending upon the funding received from the sponsors and the number of applicants.

  • The scholarship amount will be directly sent to the educational institution the applicant is enrolled in.

Life Lessons Scholarship Program Application

  • The recipients of the scholarship are selected by the organization based on the eligibility criteria.

  • The applicant must be enrolled in an accredited university, college or trade school for postsecondary education.

  • The students must agree to the terms and conditions of the scholarship program.

  • The applicant must submit the completed online application form available on the official website of the organization.

  • The applicant must submit an essay of 500 words or less or a video of 3 minutes long describing the financial challenges after the death of the parent or guardian in the family.

  • The applicant must go through the rules and regulations before applying for the scholarship program.

Life Lessons Scholarship Program Application Deadline

The application inclusive of required materials must be submitted online by March 1st without fail. Any applications received past the deadline will not be considered.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a legal resident of U.S.

  • The applicant should be between 17 and 24 years of age.

  • The applicant must have suffered the loss of a parent or legal guardian.

  • The applicant must be enrolled in an accredited institution.
