About the Scholarship
LNESC and LULAC established the LULAC National Scholarship Fund (LNSF) to help youth in underserved communities make the dream of college enrollment a reality. LNESC is a national non-profit organization established in 1973 with the mission of narrowing the opportunity gap for America's disadvantaged youth through education and leadership programming.
How to Apply
The application form for this scholarship is available on the LULAC website. In addition to the application form, each applicant has to submit the verification of admittance or enrollment from the institution he/she is currently attending or planning to attend, a copy of the ACT/SAT score report (entering freshmen only). Applications must be submitted directly to a local participating LULAC Council.
This Scholarship awards an amount of $2000 and is non-renewable. The number of awards given for this scholarship is limited to two hundred.
The deadline for this scholarship is March 31, 2019. All the applications have to be submitted before the deadline date.
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
Must have a grade point average of 3.25 or higher.
Must score a 23 or higher on the ACT OR an 1100 or higher on the SAT.
Must have applied to or be enrolled in a college, university, or graduate school, including two-year colleges or vocational schools that lead to an associate's degree.
