A career in economics is very lucrative as it gives you one of those high paying jobs. College students are being drawn towards economics majors with the hope of having a fulfilling and satisfying career in economics. So, many organizations and universities give scholarships to students of economics majors.

There is a myth among the students' community that only people with a good command over mathematics or statistics should take economics. But this is not the truth. Students who are average in mathematics or statistics are also doing really good in economics. Economics can open doors for many professions such as political research, government, finance, corporate management, law, non-profit, education, and public administration industries, many of which don't require you to be an expert in mathematics.

The tuition fees for students of economics major usually range from $42,000 to $75,000 depending on the university or college, which becomes a matter of concern for many students. But the good news is that to help potential students with their tuition fees there are a lot of college scholarships available out there.
