About the Scholarship

The Marjorie M. Shostak fund was established in November of 1995 to encourage women and men to pursue an education in the international field. The award will be made directly to the recipient, who is expected to apply the funds toward educational related expenses, such as tuition, books, study abroad program or international trade-related seminars/workshops. Preference will be given to students who can demonstrate leadership qualities as defined by a record of involvement and participation in extracurricular activities on their college campuses and/or in civic activities in their local communities.


How to Apply for Scholarship?

  • To be considered for this scholarship an applicant must fill out an online application form, which is found at the official website.

  • In addition to that, an applicant must submit the recommendation letter from his/her college professor as well as official transcripts indicating the school or college a student has attended.

  • Also, a student is required to submit a personal essay in order to receive this opportunity.


Award Amount and Deadline:

The foundation is awarding $1500 per annum to many eligible applicants and it is non-renewable.

The application deadline date is not yet fixed as per the last year the deadline is considered as 5th December 2019, hence all applicants must contact the financial aid to get to know about the last date for sending scholarship application.


Eligibility Criteria

  • A student must do full-time enrollment as a sophomore, junior or senior undergraduate student at an accredited Southern California institution of higher education.

  • A student should actively pursue an academic discipline leading to a career in international trade, business, law or related international field.

  • A recipient must have good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better (on a 4.0 scale).

  • Recipients must be U.S. citizen or legal U.S. Permanent Residents.
