About the Scholarship
The Maryland Tuition Reduction for Non-Resident Nursing Students is provided by the Maryland Higher Education Commission to the non-residents of Maryland State to achieve higher education. The scholarship is helping the students financially to pursue further studies after completion of high school. In order to receive this award an applicant who attends a two-year or four-year public institution in Maryland. In addition to that, a student must maintain satisfactory academic progress and must meet all other eligibility requirements. The applicants no need to demonstrate the financial need because the award is not need-based.
How to Apply for Scholarship?
An applicant must create an account with a username and password. After signing up he/she will be able to get the online scholarship application.
A student must provide a letter of recommendation that, he/she will serve as a full-time nurse in a hospital or related institution.
Recipients must begin to work within six months after graduation.
Award Amount and Deadline:
The Financial Aid is providing $1000 to any number of students who meet the eligibility criteria. The award is automatically renewable for two years and four years degree.
The students need to apply for this scholarship before the deadline mentioned by the financial aid of MHEC.
In order to receive this award, an applicant must be non-resident of Maryland.
A student must enroll at a two-year or four-year Maryland public college or university as a full-time or part-time degree-seeking undergraduate student.
A student must be enrolled at a nursing program.
An applicant must begin employment within six months of your graduation
Audited courses are not used to achieve the minimum credit hours required for full-time or part-time status.
