About the Scholarship

The scholarship is awarded by the Dayne Phillips Attorney at Law. Founded by Dayne Philips, a lawyer who works to achieve the best possible result from every case.  The Mental Health System Reform Scholarship was started to bring awareness to the topic of mental illness, to encourage students in the cause, and to help increase the discussions on how to improve the mental well being. The grant is awarded yearly.


How to apply for the scholarship?

  • Interested applicants should write an original essay of around 750 words, discussing your opinions on the mental health systems available in the U.S.

  • Along with the essay, a resume and academic transcripts should also be submitted.

  • The essay and other required documents must be sent to scholarships@sccriminallaws.com

How much the scholarship award amounts to?

  • The award amounts to $1,000 yearly and is non-renewable.

  • One scholarship is awarded per year.

Deadline Information

  • The deadline date is set for February 28

  • The essay along with the other required documents should be submitted before the deadline date.
