About the Scholarship

The Organization behind this scholarship is the National Hispanic Health Foundation. The scholarship program is launched in 2004 at Gala by NHF for providing financial aid to students with outstanding academic records, pursuing various fields like nursing, medical, dental, public health, and health policy, contributing to their Hispanic communities.

Pathway to apply:

  • Award is only open for students in New York, New Jersey, and California.

  • The application form can be found online on the National Hispanic Health Foundation website.

  • Students are supposed to submit a personal statement, including career goals, which should be up to two pages.

  • Curriculum Vitae

  • Letter of Recommendation

  • Unofficial copy of the school transcripts

Worth of scholarship:

11 students will be receiving $5000 each year for two consecutive years and 13 students will be receiving scholarship worth of $2000 only once and that too non-renewable. The total number of awards offered annually is 24.


The deadline for this prestigious scholarship is on September 26


Eligibility Criteria

  • US citizenship is a must

  • Must be a college student and any level of education is acceptable unless the student is in a degree-seeking program

  • Should be enrolled in a full time

  • Should be either Hispanic or be strongly committed to serving the Hispanic society.

  • Candidates of the pre-health profession are not eligible

  • Award is only open for US students
