About the Scholarship

This music composition competition is open to members of the U.S. military (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine, Coast Guard, and National Guard). Entries are accepted in the following categories: solo works for piano, organ, strings, woodwinds, brass, or percussion; original works for band, orchestra, or chorus; original works for large or small ensembles or church music; American opera, American musical theater, or patriotic music; folk music, ethnic music, or jazz. Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must be a native-born or naturalized U.S. citizen. Must be a member of the U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine, Coast Guard, or National Guard.
