About the Scholarship
Northrop Grumman Foundation Scholarship for Freshmen is assisting the students who major in the area of Aero, CS, EE, IE, ME, MSE, Data Science, Data Analytics, and, Machine Learning.
The award is to financially assist disabled candidates, veteran candidates, candidates that demonstrate financial need and/or candidates from under-represented groups. Candidate must attend one of the following schools as mentioned by the SWE financial aid. The Candidate must reside in the US and must maintain a specified GPA.
How to for the scholarship award?
An applicant must create an account with a username and password in order to receive the scholarship application.
Once the online application has been submitted an applicant must submit current official transcripts from all schools attended.
An applicant must provide a letter of acceptance to an ABET-accredited college or university as well as a resume.
The student must also submit email id and contact information for two letters of recommendation. One letter must be from a teacher or college professor and the other letter must be from a person who has known the student for two or more years and who is not a relative or member of the student's family.
Award amount and Deadline
The foundation is awarding $5000 to 5 applicants annually and it is non-renewable.
The scholarship deadline is fixed on 1st May 2019. All applicants must apply and submit documents and applications for this scholarship before the given deadline to be eligible for the scholarship.
The applicant must enroll or plan to enroll in a program accredited by ABET.
A student must be an undergraduate and attend a university or a four-year college in full time
A student should have a minimum 3.0-grade point average out of 4 to avail of the benefits of the scholarship.
Scholarship is Restricted by race for Black students
A scholarship amount is restricted to students studying Computer Science/Data Processing, Electrical Engineering/Electronics, Engineering/Technology.
