About the Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded by the Shiver Hamilton. A law firm that handles serious injury and wrongful death cases throughout the State of Georgia and Southeast. They created this grant in encouragement for students who believe in doing good for others for just the sake of being kind. The grant is awarded yearly to inspire more students to help others randomly for the sake of helping. The selection is made based on factors including quality of the essay, academic performance, and resume.
How to apply for the scholarship?
Interested applicants must submit an essay of around 750 words addressing the act of random kindness that the applicant either participated in or observed, and how the act impacted you.
Along with the essay, the applicant should also submit a resume and academic transcripts.
The essay and the other required documents should be sent by email to the email address mentioned on the scholarship webpage.
How much the scholarship award amounts to?
The award amounts to $1,000 yearly and is non-renewable.
One scholarship is provided yearly.
The deadline date is set for December 31
The applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student during the upcoming spring semester.
Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
