About the Scholarship
The Presbyterian Mission has founded Samuel Robinson Award that seeks to stimulate interest in the Westminster Shorter Catechism by challenging Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) members who are juniors or seniors in college and attending a Presbyterian related college or university to memorize and recite the catechism from memory. The students get assisted by this award economically to overcome the financial need.
How to Apply for this Scholarship?
The scholarship application is available on the official website all candidates must fill and submit the scholarship form.
The candidate is required to write a 2,000-word essay on an assigned topic related to the catechism.
All applicants must submit official transcripts of college/institution where he or she is currently enrolled in.
Award Amount and Deadline:
The scholarship funding is applied to two deserving students. A candidate with the highest scores receive $7,500 and the lowest award for an application with an essay is $2,000.
The scholarship deadline date is fixed on December 1st, 2019. All applicants must apply for this scholarship award no later than the given date.
The applicant must recite the answers to the Westminster Shorter Catechism in English and Spanish.
The applicant must write an essay of 2,000 words on a related assigned topic.
The applicant must be the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) member.
The applicant must be enrolled in an accredited university or college that is related to the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) as a junior or a senior student.
