Just by being a resident or enrolled to an accredited university, college or any educational institution in the Constitution state, the students are awarded various scholarships by the state of Connecticut. The federal government, the Connecticut state corporation, private organizations, companies, and educational institutions offer massive scholarship opportunities to the students of the state in order to help the students pursue higher education without facing any financial difficulties. The scholarships can be attained by students based on academic merits, active participation in community services and other major achievements. Certain scholarships are offered to students on the basis of the financial need demonstrated by the applicants. These scholarships may or may not have conditions applied.

Students are relieved of the heavy financial burden of college costs while getting a proper education through various financial aids in the forms of student loans, need-based and merit-based grants, scholarships and work-study programs. The money received by the students in the form of student loans and need-based grants is to be paid back by the students after the course of education. The students who acquire the fund to meet the educational expenses through scholarships and work-study programs are not obliged to pay back the money unless stated beforehand.

The students who are residents of the state of Connecticut or those who are enrolled in universities and colleges in the state are awarded numerous scholarships as an investment to the future of the state and the society. Students may be enrolled in institutions like the University of Connecticut (UConn), the United States Coast Guard Academy (USCGA), Yale University and other prestigious educational institutions in order to receive the Connecticut state scholarships.

Some of the scholarships that are offered to the students of the state of Connecticut are as follows:-

  • Eileen Kraus Scholarship: The students of the state are offered the Eileen Kraus Scholarship by the Connecticut Women\'s Hall of Fame in connection with the Kaman Corporation to meet the educational and living expenses.
