The students who are legal residents of the state of Kentucky or who have enrolled in different colleges or universities are awarded various scholarships by different state and private organizations, colleges, universities, and other vocational institutions in order to help the students meet the educational expenses. The students may be enrolled in the University of Louisville, Western Kentucky University (WKU), University Of Kentucky (UK) or any other universities, colleges or vocational institutions in order to be eligible to receive the scholarships. Unlike grants and loans, the students do not have to pay back the money received as scholarships, therefore, releasing the students of financial pressure.

Certain scholarships require different eligibility criteria. There is a scholarship for everyone hence helping and encouraging the students to pursue a basic and higher education. Kentucky Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP) Scholarship: The students who are passionate about using their technical skills in bringing a positive change in the world or in their community are awarded the Kentucky Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP) Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to the students of schools in Kentucky who are enrolled to pursue an education in any field related to technology.
Kentucky Early Childhood Development Scholarship: The Kentucky residents who are pursuing an associate’s program in early childhood education, bachelor’s program in interdisciplinary early childhood education, child development associate credential program or any other program-related approved by the Early Childhood Development Authority of Kentucky Early Childhood Director’s Certificate.
Kentucky Colonels Better Life Scholarship: The students of districts with the 16 KCTCS colleges are given the opportunity to cover all their college expenses including tuition and fees, books and supplies and other college costs through the Kentucky Colonel’s Better Life Scholarship.
