Famous for the production of cheese and other dairy products, Wisconsin is popularly known as the dairyland of America. The state is a combination of rural and urban settings Madison being the main college capital. The education system is handled under the State University system that offers education in over 25 college campuses. The students who are seeking education are offered various scholarships by different state and private organizations. There is a scholarship for every student. The main college that comes under the state university educational system is the Madison Campus of The University of Wisconsin. The Wisconsin Technical College System provides education to students through 16 college campuses in and around the state of Wisconsin.

It is not affordable for every student to get a proper basis and higher education. Hence there are several financial aids provided by the federal government as well as the state and private organizations and the universities and colleges in Wisconsin. Among these financial aids, scholarships are the best and they are easily available. Unlike loans and certain grants, you do not have to pay back the money received as scholarships as in the majority of the cases, the scholarships are awarded based on the merit, athletic records and other co-curricular activities of the students irrespective of the financial need. Few of the scholarships offered by the different organizations and educational institutions are as follow:

  • Wisconsin Academic Excellence Scholarship Program - The students who have the highest cumulative GPA in every private and public high school are awarded a fund for education through the Wisconsin Academic Excellence Scholarship Program. The scholarship is granted to Wisconsin high school seniors.

  • Wisconsin Sports Awards Scholarship Contest - Wisconsin high school seniors who are athletes and have scored a high GPA are granted financial aid through the Wisconsin Sports Awards Scholarship Contest.
