About the Scholarship

U.S. college sophomores or juniors currently enrolled in a public college or university in one of the states in ASME District E (Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming) are eligible for this award. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and major in mechanical engineering. Application requirements for the Stephen T. Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must be a U.S. citizen by birth. Must be a college junior or senior in the upcoming academic year. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Must attend a public college or university in one of the states in ASME District E (Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, or Wyoming). Please note: Because the Kugle family has funded a Kugle Scholarship at the University of Texas at Arlington, students from that school are not eligible for this award.
