About the Scholarship
Sylvia and Samuel Schulman Memorial Scholarship is accredited by the National Council of Jewish Women - Los Angeles Section (NCJW/LA). The organization was started in bringing improvement and the quality for women, children, and families and to create social and political change in the world. It also su[pports the pathway to rules and regulations that guarantee economic safety, promote dignity in the workplace, and provide safety measures for families who are struggling.
What are the basic necessities required to apply for this scholarship grant?
- The FAFSA application must be completed by the candidates who are applying or receiving this award.
- Two letters of recommendation, preferably from teachers and/or employers.
- An official school transcript and current enrollment verification must be submitted.
Wisconsin Academic Excellence Scholarship award amounts to
This scholarship provides $1000 annually which is non-renewable.
The award is made in two payments of $500.00. The second payment will be received after written confirmation of status and current school transcripts from the recipient
The total number of awards offered by this scholarship are limited to one award every year.
The applications are to be submitted by the end of November 01, 2020. All students are informed to submit the application before the due date to meet the eligibility, Applications and other required information are available on the National Council of Jewish Women - Los Angeles Section (NCJW/LA) website.
The applicant must be a single mother entering.
Applicants must be continuing school in an accredited institution in order to learn a marketable skill, which will lead to economic independence.
