About the Scholarship
The TEXAS (Toward Excellence, Access, and Success) Grant Program is awarded to the students who are in a great financial burden to pursue their higher educational studies. The Texas Legislature created the TEXAS Grant to help the students financially to undergo higher academic after graduation from high school.
The student must maintain an acceptable record of educational progress to be considered for this reward. This helps in covering all the educational expenses like college fees, tuition costs, books, and others.
How to Apply?
The applicants must fill and submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TAFSA) to show their financial requirements.
The FAFSA and TAFSA can be found online on their respective official websites.
- After submitting the respective application document, the eligibility of the student will be evaluated by the financial aid office, individually.
The TEXAS grant provides a scholarship amount of $9792 per year to all the eligible applicants.
All applicants need to apply for this grant on or before the deadline date of October 1st.
The eligibility criteria to be met by the students to apply for the TEXAS (Toward Excellence, Access, and Success) Grant Program are:
A student must be enrolled at an undergraduate program.
A student must attend a university or a four-year college in Texas.
A student should be a Texas resident.
- A student must have a 2.5 Cumulative GPA.
Students must have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $4,800.
The recipient must also maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 and complete a minimum of 24 Semester Credit Hours each year.
