About the Scholarship

TSPE Regional Scholarship is accredited by the Texas Society of Professional Engineers. the TSPE is a state society of the National Society of Professional Engineers. TPSE was established in 1936 to serve the interests of the individual designer in Texas across all disciplines of engineering.


What are the basic requirements needed to apply for this scholarship?

  • A copy of the SAT or ACT scores must be attached to the scholarship application.

  • Students must submit their FAFSA application to receive this scholarship grant.

  • Two letters of recommendation from non-relatives with an official transcript of the previous school or college must be submitted.

  • The student must also submit a 750-word essay based on one of the three questions 

 

TSPE Regional Scholarship award amounts to

  • The scholarship provides $500 annually based on the students meeting their eligibility criteria and is non-renewable.

  • The total number of awards offered by this scholarship varies around 5 each year based on the availability of the students and funds available.

     

Deadline information

The applications are to be submitted by the end of January 18, 2020. Students are informed to submit the applications and other related forms before the due date to meet the eligibility criteria. Applications and other related information are available online on the Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE) website.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants may be required to participate in an in-person interview for chapter-level awards.

  • Applicants are awarded on the basis of academic record, achievement, leadership and career goals.

  • Candidates applying for this grant must be a U.S. citizen.

  • Must enroll as a full-time student.
