About the Scholarship

The UA Scholars Program is an $12,000 scholarship for attendance at the University of Alaska. Any student designated by an eligible Alaska high school as ranking in the top ten percent of his/her class will receive the award if he/she is admitted to any campus of the University of Alaska. Eligibility Criteria

This award is for U.S. students. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Must be designated in the top 10 percent of his/her graduating class. Must successfully earn a high school diploma from a qualified Alaska high school. Must enroll in 12 credits or more (full time) beginning the first fall semester following the graduation date of the class with which he/she was designated unless utilizing a leave of absence. Students must complete a minimum of 12 credits for the first two semesters in which they receive an award, and must complete 30 credits annually thereafter until the award is concluded. Must be admitted into a certificate or undergraduate degree program at a University of Alaska campus in order to redeem the award.
