About the Scholarship
Hebrew Free Loan Society sponsors for UJA- Federation of New York Rose Biller Scholarship Program. The organization was found in the year 1892. The Hebrew Free Loan Society (HFLS) provides financial stability and renders an opportunity to New York workers with lower-income by providing access to safe and affordable credit in the form of interest-free loans. This grant program provides financial help to Jewish people with significant financial need for attending undergraduate, graduate, and expert schools.
How to apply?
Applicants must have completed their FAFSA to receive this scholarship fund.
A married couple is considered one guarantor, and spouses must sign guarantor forms and the promissory note.
Applicants must provide official transcripts and required SAT/ACT scorecards to meet eligibility.
This scholarship provides a maximum of $5000 annually.
Students are required to reapply for this grant each year up to 3 additional years.
The total number of awards offered by this scholarship varies.
The applications need to be submitted by May 30, 2020.

The following eligibility criteria are expected to be met by the applicants to be considered for the UJA- Federation of New York Rose Biller Scholarship Program:
Applicants must be Jewish students, permanent residents of and attending colleges or graduate or professional schools in New York City or the countries of Nassau, Suffolk or Westchester.
Must be a U.S citizen to apply for this scholarship.
Applicants must be students at colleges or graduate or professional schools located in the New York Metropolitan Area.
Applicants must be physically in attendance at New York Metropolitan Area campuses.
