About the Scholarship

UPS Scholarship is awarded by the U.S. Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce.

The foundation was established in the year 1989 to provide financial assistance to high school seniors nationwide for their post-secondary education.

The scholarship award amount enables students to pay for their education without any financial burden. A student can make of these funds to pay for their tuition, fees, room, board, and many more.


What is the application process?

  • Students must submit a 2" x 2" color photo of good quality, the Scanned photo is not accepted by the institution.

  • An essay of 500 words describing "Why Should they Be Awarded this Scholarship?” must be submitted.

  • Additionally, a candidate must send their official High School Transcript, capturing the past two years of coursework.

  • A student must also submit their household tax returns signed by the taxpayer(s), Must include the applicant's name, a statement of the actual household income.

  • Two (2) Letters of Recommendation, (1) from high school, and (1) from a community service organization is required.

  • Post-Secondary Information means students have to provide information on the proposed post-secondary course of study(major) and associated costs.

  • The applicant is required to apply with the required documents in separate envelopes, Multiple applications submitted in a single envelope will not be considered.


Scholarship Award Amount

  • This scholarship award amounts to $5000 annually which is non-renewable.

  • The total number of awards offered by this scholarship is limited to 2 deserving candidates each year depending on the availability of funds and a total number of applications received.


Deadline Information

All the documents mentioned above must be sent to the financial aid department of the institution on or before March 29, 2020.

Any delay in submission of the form will lead to disqualification. A student is advised to send their documents in advance to be eligible for the scholarship fund.


Eligibility Criteria

  • A candidate must be 16 years of age or older at the time of application.

  • A student must be a high school senior and be a legal resident of the United States.

  • A recipient must be enrolled in full-time study at an accredited post-secondary educational institution in the United States 

  • To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant must be involved in community service and demonstrate leadership in extracurricular activities.

  • Must have a grade point average of 3.3 or higher out of 4.
