About the Scholarship

Walmart Associate Scholarship is licensed and is sponsored by the Walmart Foundation to support individuals financially to help them achieve their educational goals. The foundation was established by Sam Walton in the year 1962, the Walmart Foundation was created to help support the communities Walmart serves Our ability to draw on Walmart business strengths, providing more than just funding, enables our philanthropy to deliver greater societal impact.

The Walmart Associate Scholarship is accessible to partners (workers) participating in Walmart's Lifelong Learning Program through American Public University and for partners seeking after postsecondary education at an organization of advanced education that is located in the United States.


What is the Application Process?

  • The first towards obtaining the scholarship fund is by filling up the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application that is used to determine the financial position of a student and their family.

  • An applicant must log in to their AIM account to apply for their scholarship fund online.

  • Applicants are required to complete all required fields in the online application and upload all the necessary financial documentation.

  • Click the Submit button on the Save/Submit page of the online application.

  • Applicants must demonstrate a need for financial assistance with all supporting documents.


What is the Scholarship Amount?

  • This scholarship award amount varies each academic year and is subject to the availability of funds.

  • The total number of awards offered by this scholarship varies based on the total number of applications received.


Deadline 

The applications are to be presented to the financial aid division of the organization on or before the end of November 30, 2020. Understudies are advised to keep track of the deadlines and submit their documents before the due date.


Eligibility Criteria

  • An applicant must be a U.S. citizen or a legal resident of the United States.

  • A student must be employed in a Walmart division for full-time or part-time for a minimum of 6 months prior to the application. 

  • The applicant must be a high school graduate or an equivalent and must be planning to  enroll in an accredited university or college.
